surfing ohana byron bay
Ohana (family) is something that makes our surfing culture unique. We bond not only through sport, but through a shared direction of life (ideally) guided by wind, tides, and swell. We are some sincerely blessed humans to have the luxurious privilege of riding waves. The book Polynesian Seafaring Heritage emphasizes that “the ‘ohana of old made it possible for the Polynesian voyagers to venture forth to unknown lands.” The same is true today.
