FLUX: Redefining Women’s Surfing

I’ve been a fan of Cori Schumacher‘s for a long time. Of both her talent in the water and the clarity of her talks and writings about surf culture. This short screams of Cori’s crystalline vision for a better version of surf culture. They nailed it.

What do you think?

  1. Nice film, thanks for sharing. The stereotype of the sexy female surfer mirrors the importance our society puts on the physical appearance, and the wrong association between beauty and success. Yet beauty and power are within ourselves, not on the outside. And as Cori said, when we surf we should be totally present, totally in the moment, and then all superficiality drops. Everything disappear except what matters the most: the oneness between the surfer and the ocean 🙂
